The building, commissioned by the Association of the Mutilated and Invalid of War was built on the project of Matteo Focaccia (1900-1972). An example of regime architecture, it rose on the new square opened during the 1930s during a radical urban renovation. Inside we can find precious mosaics by the artists Ines Morigi (1914-2014), Antonio Rocchi (1916-2005), Werther Focaccia, Libera Musiani (1903-1987) and Renato Signorini (1908-1999).
