Santa Croce
It was built by the empress Galla Placidia, the church had a Latin cross structure with one nave only and a wide transept and narthex onto which a little building was joined, the latter had a cross shape too, and is known as Mausoleum of Galla Placidla so as to form a little religious complex. The inside is decorated with wall mosaics. In the late 16th century and early 17th century the church was mutilated in some of its parts: the arms of the transept, the narthex and the part in front of the nave. The current facade belongs to the 17th century, the apse is of the 15th century and the bell tower of the 18th century.
